Battle of the Sexes is a Green Light Events Production. GLE is based out of New Jersey and best known for Your First Mud Run, a family friendly mud run based throughout the Northeast,

With Battle of the Sexes, our goal was to create a unique race that pits guys vs. girls and designed so that every runner counts in the team standings!  The race supports Fair Lawn High School sports.  The first 125 runners on race day are guaranteed shirts.

How it works:

It's simple.  As reported by Runners World, the average woman is 6 min and 7 sec slower than a man national average for a 5K.  At the end of the race we add up all the men and women's times and then add 'X' to the male time.  If women are faster, they win. The link to the statistics is as follows:  http://www.runningusa.org/2014-state-of-the-sport-part-III-us-race-trends  Next year the women will get only 4:54, based on winning this year's race by 1:05.

Next year, in good fun, we reserve the right to change the handicap AGAIN to this year's final results if the national handicap gives one side too much of an advantage.
